The liturgy of Palm Sunday is intentionally aburpt. From the opening sentences, spoken in response by the pastor and the people of God, to the joyful chorus of children and adults giving Jesus "All Glory, Laud, and Honor," the liturgy of Palm Sunday begins with that triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. But then we stop... And we wait... And the crosses are veiled... And then we pray. When the liturgy resumes, it puts into the ears of its hearers the entire narrative of the Passion of Our Lord.
