The season of Epiphany is the last part of the Time of Christmas. It is a time when we glory in the revelation of Jesus as the true God, the light of the world, who has brought redemption for all. That theme serves as a wonderful time for a mission emphasis, and so Concordia was pleased to welcome Pastor David Riley to preach, and to encourage us towards the support of mission. The text for his sermon is the Holy Gospel, in which Jesus calls his first four disciples to come and follow him. The call to follow Jesus is call which the Church proclaims to this day, and through it, the Holy Spirit draws all nations to gather together and live in the light of the world, even Jesus Christ!
